Microsoft 365 is here but what is it?

Microsoft 365 was updated on 21st April 2020. We also have Office 365 so which do you need?

Microsoft is releasing new products and they will now be the new standard from April 2020. Office 365 will be merged info Microsoft 365 so from now on we will talk about Microsoft 365.

Office 365 has been the go to platform to move away from physical servers. This allows you to work anywhere in the world with an internet connection. This also saves you from employing an engineer to routinely update a physical server. With the low up from cost (capital expenditure) you can utilise the pay as you go solution (operational expenditure) where you pay only for the resource (i.e. licenses) you need as your business grows. This has enabled many of our customers get access to enterprise tools at small business budgets.

For example, Office 365 Business Essentials will be Microsoft 365 Business Basic. This is to give you access to Microsoft Exchange email, Microsoft SharePoint file storage and Microsoft Teams for collaboration of video meetings, audio meetings and sharing of files with team members.

Office 365 Business will now be Microsoft 365 Apps for Business. Basically Word, Excel PowerPoint software on your computer with a subscription so it's kept up to date.

Office 365 Business Premium will now be Microsoft 365 Business Standard. This combines the local software on your computer along with the online storage and collaborations (of Microsoft 365 Business Basic and Microsoft 365 Apps for Business)
