In May 2018, the EU GDPR regulation was a requirement for all companies holding data on EU citizens (even if your business is in the US and Canada).
In March we talked about the actions to take for GDPR. This month we discussed this on our webinar. Along with help from the Insolvency Guru, we have covered both legal aspects of GDPR and the IT requirements to keep your systems secure.
In our previous blog post we covered a list of area to look at. Our webinar which will be released in May will cover these points in more detail. Along with case studies of what to look out for.
If you would like to know more about the legal requirements, please contact the Insolvency Guru. You may be thinking, what about help abroad? Even across the channel in France, we can provide you help with European law from a solicitor speaking both English and French.
From an IT perspective, there are a number of areas to lock down your data so that it is not easily accessible. If a few steps in our processes stop others from seeing data we hold on our customers, suppliers and staff, that could save hours of work informing all the affected parties.
If you would like a link to our webinar where we cover topics on the ICO, Breach and Case Studies, please enter your details in The Birak Bulletin form (shown at the bottom of this page) and we will email you the link.
This one hour video covers what you need for GDPR. This includes video, slides and examples of day to day changes to your business to be GDPR ready. You don't need to purchase any long term online training.
If you require help with your IT systems and processes for GDPR, please speak to a member of our team on 01489 290 001. You can also drop us an email.
