Cheap doesn't mean safe

Before you buy from ebay/amazon, think is this charger really safe? Check out the video from the link.

Many items in the EU have a mark with the letters CE. This:
-shows that the manufacturer has checked that these products meet EU safety, health or environmental requirements
-is an indicator of a product's compliance with EU legislation
-allows the free movement of products within the European market

Unfortunately many of these items have the marks without testing. To the untrained eye this is difficult to tell.

Don't mess with electricity. We have additional checks for Safety in the EU with the CE mark. We recommend any electrical item brought from outside the EU to be tested by an electrician before plugging it into the wall.
